Flubber
In Te Maunga this term we made flubber. We made flubber for our math problem solving to get the right measurements. Like fifty teaspoons in a cup and 200 teaspoons in four cups. It was tricky trying to add the larger fraction. The Flubber did not work because we added to much water. We need 4 cups of PVA glue, 1 cup of water and about 6 teaspoons of borax. π

Term 3 Writing Goals
In Te Maunga we created our Term 3 writing goals and our learning intention was to self choose our goals. The teacher will have a workshop on one of the subjects and that will help us to learn . We had to choose goals that we wanted to learn and goals from last term we did not get to evidence in our stories. In the stories we write we have to evidence the goals that we put down to learn.π

Math problem solving
This term in Te Maunga we have been collaborating in groups of three to work out problem. Most days after morning tea the experts that need a bit of help in their learning go up with Mrs Pou and she teaches them some things that they can tell us about what they learnt and how the teacher showed them ways to work it out. My group is Dale, Me and our expert is Vaughan. This week we have been doing problems that include stars because this week is Matariki week. We have problems like there are seven stars in the Matariki constellation each star has five points so we would do five times seven then the answer. We also did what if stars had seven points so we did seven times seven and the answer. I think my group works kind of well they ask each other question and letting each other have a try to figure out the answer.
