Raranga Matahiko - Waitangi

On the 8th and 9th of February the year 6’ s went to Waitangi Treaty Grounds  we went to a program called Raranga Matahiko - Waitangi. When we got there the two teachers introduce themselves their names were Whaea Kerry and Whaea Monika. We split in to two groups and one half of us got to go with  Whaea Monika and explored the museum and the other half of us went with Whaea Kerry and got to have a tutu. We got to try out all the technology that was there. There was a VR virtual reality and green screen were my favorite the other things they had were Coding robots, Stop motion, Sculptgl, Paint 3d and Tinkercad.  With the green screen we could jump of rail into space and that was really fun. With the VR it was really cool cause you could make snow or put fire on the ground. After we had had a go at everything we got to go out for a hikoi. We explored the whole museum we learned about how some of our ancestors came here and we learnt about the treaty. At the end of the museum there was  a big green stone in a little pool of water and you had to wet your hands before you touched it. It was very smooth. We are making carvings for our waka and we made people to go in the Waka we also made hoe.
