Pet Day π
In Te Maunga we have been making all kinds of things. On friday the ninth of November we had pet day and flower day. We made vaseline saucers. I made a pattern with red rose petals and pink and white petals. I made a Novelty container out of a volcanic rock I did not get a prize for that. I came first in the wine biscuit and made three, one had a lolley bat and the other two were aliens. I also made a poster for the A&P show I did not get a prize for that. There were lots of different pets someone even brought some freshwater crayfish. There were dogs, cats, guinea pigs and rabbits. I really enjoyed pet day. π

Rebecca Brothers π
In Te Maunga we have been learning about Rebecca Brothers an Olympic Ambassador. We got into peers and made a google drawing. We had to write appropriate questions about her. Rebecca Brothers won 249 medals all together and 110 were gold were 49 bronze and 90 silver. I learnt that if you try your hardest you can do whatever you want. π

Geometryπ
In Te Maunga we created a google drawing about geometry. We learnt different angles like 360, 180 and 90 percent angles. What I found tricky was trying to figure out how many sides and corners on a 3d shape.π

Procedure
This term in Te Maunga we have created lots of procedures like baking, making flubber and lots more. We learnt how to set out a procedure like first you write the goal, then you put what you need, after you put the steps. I enjoyed making the things then writing the procedure. π

Flubber
In Te Maunga this term we made flubber. We made flubber for our math problem solving to get the right measurements. Like fifty teaspoons in a cup and 200 teaspoons in four cups. It was tricky trying to add the larger fraction. The Flubber did not work because we added to much water. We need 4 cups of PVA glue, 1 cup of water and about 6 teaspoons of borax. π

In Te Maunga we have been learning about Te Reo Maori. We also learnt the Maori for food eg. Banana would be panana. We had to make a slide and insert pictures of food like fruit/ Seafood and vegeatbl.es Underneath the pictures we had to write the English name then the Te Reo name. I enjoyed learning the Maori words and having Whea Lisa and Mrs Pou to help us. What I found tricky was trying to pronounce the words properly and finding were the macarons go in the Te Reo words.π
