Cross country

On Friday the 30th of August Paihia school had cross country. When we got to school everybody was excited. At 11:15 everybody started getting ready to go to cross country we all lined up in our class on the court. Some people went by bus and some people went by car. When we got to Bledisloe domain we got set up and then we started the races it started from the 5 year old boys then 5 year old girls and kept going up. When the races started I went to the finish line to cheer the kids on. The five year olds just had to go around the field, the  six and seven year olds did the field and a bit of the drive but 8, 9 and 10 year olds did a lap of the field up the drive and round two paddocks. The 11 and 12 year olds did round the field up the drive through three paddocks and another lap of the field. When it came to my turn as a ten year old girl I was a bit nervous. I ran most of it and only walked a tiny bit but I tried my best and came second to last. Lots of people were cheering me on as I crossed the finish line. I think everybody had a good time because I did but everybody was tired. The people that came first, second or third gets to go to inter school cross country. These are pictures from cross country.

  1. Kia ora AJ it’s Ataahua. I just came by scrolling through your Blog post and wanted to read your Cross country post, and I just want to say what great punctuation and spelling you have. I wanted to see your Blog post because it brought me back on that exact same day doing the same age group running, and I remember us starting off at the same time. I came last.
Were you right behind someone on their tail. Who was in front of you?
Keep up the good work AJ. Have a good day.
